Domaine de L'R
Domaine de l’R sits on the right bank of the Vienne River, in the heart of the Chinon appellation. After learning winemaking in Spain, Frédéric Sigonneau returned to Touraine in 2004 and founded his domaine in 2007 on the site of his family’s old farm in Cravant-les-Coteaux. From the start, Frédéric has farmed organically, with no herbicides or pesticides. Vinification happens by gravity, with spontaneous fermentation using only native yeasts, and minimal pumping. The result is vibrant, authentic wines with a strong sense of place.
