This is Syrah with a twist – juicy and medium-bodied, with loads of dark berries, black pepper and a touch of earthiness. There's structure and spice, but it stays fresh and vibrant. A red that’s both characterful and totally crushable.
Cros des Calades is a new project from Florence and Benoît of Château de la Selve. Based in Grospierres, they vinify grapes from five organically farmed plots in the southern Rhône Valley. Their philosophy remains the same as at Château de la Selve – maximum respect for terroir and minimal intervention in the cellar. The wines are light, playful, and approachable – from reds and whites to rosés, including both classic and pink Pet-Nats.
