Ballon Blanc from Cros des Calades is a beautifully balanced blend of Grenache Blanc, Rolle, and Chardonnay. On the nose, it bursts with juicy white stone fruit and a delicate touch of spice. The palate is fresh and elegant, with bright acidity and a subtle spicy kick.
Cros des Calades is a new project from Florence and Benoît of Château de la Selve. Based in Grospierres, they vinify grapes from five organically farmed plots in the southern Rhône Valley. Their philosophy remains the same as at Château de la Selve – maximum respect for terroir and minimal intervention in the cellar. The wines are light, playful, and approachable – from reds and whites to rosés, including both classic and pink Pet-Nats.
