Domaine Bornard - La Chamade Magnum 2018
Jura | red, dry |
Wine by film and film by wine. Magnum edition.
The wine's name is a reference to François Sagan's 1965 novel of the same name, which was made into a 1968 film by Alain Cavalier starring Catherine Deneuve. The story of a lost love is a perfect match for this medium bodied, melancholic red wine, but one that stands out for its drinkability and elegance. Magnum edition.

Tony is the proud and talented successor to his father, the well-known winemaker Philippe Bornard, and one of the most sought-after young winemakers in the Jura region
His valuable father's advice, a degree from a wine university, and an internship in Australia gave him a solid background for a winery of his own, which he founded in 2013 and merged with his father's land in his native Pupillin shortly afterwards. Tony's wines are backed by a traditional approach and at the same time made with the joy of experimentation. Tony's style is a little bit more funky than his father's.
