Julien Mareschal grew up in a family of farmers. It is no wonder that he enrolled in an agricultural school and eventually in a wine university, from which he continued to gain experience in renowned areas such as Burgundy and Bordeaux. From there, Julien, at the age 23, moved to Pupillin in the Jura region, where in 2003 he established his own winery, Domaine de la Borde. Initially, Julien made a living partially as a music teacher, today he only hosts jazz evenings and plays bass or piano at home, when he's not working in the vineyard. His Motto? The wine is made in the vineyard.
