Strekov 1075

Strekov_small

Slovak-Hungarian Zsolt Sütö is the first natural winemaker in Slovakia who attracted the attention of the wine world.

The number 1075, which he also wrote on his house, is a reference to the oldest mention of wine production in the village of Strekov in the Pohronská, where its 12-hectare vineyard is located. Zsolt's wines go back to the past, to ancient methods of cultivation and production. 5 hectares of vineyards are planted in the old school style and some wines are produced in the Kakhetin style, fermenting with mash. The vineyards are dominated by old varieties such as Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, Blauer Portugieser, Blaufränkisch , Saint Laurent, and also younger ones like Dunaj, Děvín and Alibernet. Zsolt doesn't clarify or filter any of his wines. No sulfur is ever added. Style and range of Zsolty's wines is quite wide, including energic pét-nats, light reds, and complex orange wines too. His wines are loved in Scandinavia, America, or Japan
